PrimAnteprima", the regional collective wine preview that opens the Tuscan Wine Previews week, takes place in Florence, at the Cavaniglia Pavilion, on February 15th.

During the event the Wine Consortia of Carmignano, Chianti Rufina, Colline Lucchesi, Maremma Toscana, Montecucco, Orcia, Terre di Pisa and Valdarno di Sopra will introduce the new vintages and guide journalists and operators to the discovery of their territories.

Participants, journalists, wine professionals, experts and institutions, will have the opportunity to meet the representatives of the consortia and taste the best of the vintages of the territories represented at the stands or in the tasting room.

Two guided tastings and the official opening of the "Tuscan Wine Preview Week" will take place during the day.

2:30 - 7:00 pm: Anteprima Vernaccia di San Gimignano, at the Rocca di Montestaffoli. Tasting of Vernaccia di San Gimignano 2019 and Vernaccia di San Gimignano Riserva 2018 (and preceding vintages) at the producers' tasting tables.

 

Wednesday, 19 February

9:00 am – 5:00 pm: Anteprima Vernaccia di San Gimignano – Rocca di Montestaffoli. Tasting of Vernaccia di San Gimignano 2019 and Vernaccia di San Gimignano Riserva 2018 (and preceding vintages) at the producers' tasting tables. The rooms of the ‘Vernaccia di San Gimignano Wine Experience’ centre will be reserved exclusively for technical tasting by journalists, with sommelier assistance.

 

9:30 am: 15th edition of the tasting cycle 'White Wine and its Territories’. 'Vernaccia di San Gimignano - A great Tuscan classic meets the world's new classics: In search of regional wines'. Tasting led by Alessandro Torcoli, Director of Civiltà del Bere, in the Sala Dante of the Palazzo Comunale, reserved to accredited journalists.

Preview of the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano

In Montepulciano, as every  year,  it is celebrated one of the most recognized win  event: the Preview of the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.        

Now in its 27th edition, the event offers to professionists and the increasingly large number of wine lovers  the opportunity to taste Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, in a unique and magical set  such as the Fortress of Montepulciano.


A unique opportunity to deal directly with wine producers of the most important local wineries and spend an absolutely unforgettable weekend, in which there will be passion and emotion.


It will be possible to taste the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano vintage 2017,  vintage awarded with 5 stars, ready to be released  on the market after two years of evolution aging imposed by the regulamentation , and the Vino Nobile category Reserve 2016, as well as other wines produced in the area of Montepulciano.       

The preview will take place at the Fortezza di Montepulciano, a few steps from the Piazza Grande, and it will represent the perfect excuse to discover a charming village  full of surprises for those who still have not had the opportunity to know this part of Tuscany, and a reasonable excuse for those who know these places and want to come back with the same enthusiasm.
